Graphic Design Intern: The Graphic Design Intern will work in support of the Creative Department's Art Director and Creative Director. In this position interns will become familiar with a wide array of initiatives including: branding, collateral design, signage, web design, marketing strategy, advertising campaign planning and production. This is a great opportunity for someone that wants real hands on experience in multiple different areas of a advertising agency. We are seeking a student who has accomplished design skills and is adept with software including: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver (CSS, HTML, PHP, ASP and/or Java Scripting is a plus).
The position is open to students actively and currently pursuing a degree in graphic design. We will also consider recent grads that are serious about taking on an intern position.
Requirements:
1. Part-time, unpaid internship. 15-20 hours/week, starting February 2010 - May 2010 or longer. (School credit is applicable).
2. Be able to complete tasks ranging from small art changes to basic web production.
3. Strong graphic design skills, with solid understanding and sense of layout, composition, color and typography.
4. Experience with graphic design systems including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver (CSS, HTML, PHP, ASP and/or Java Scripting is a plus, but not necessary).
5. Experience in basic image manipulation and cropping skills.
6. Self motivated, organized and accountable, bringing positive energy to the company’s environment through his/her personality.
7. Work and communicate with others, however also able to work independently.
8. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
